It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie Helene Hanagan (Burtonsville, Maryland), born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jesse Hawkins and Katherine Hawkins (Cronin); her husband Lawrence Woodrow Hanagan; her son Lawrence William Hanagan (Julie Unger) of Columbia, MD; her sisters, Hilda Shriver, Hazel McGuire and Mary David (Nora Hawkins); her grandchildren, Sean (Kelly Hanagan), Matthew (Colleen Hanagan), Sarah (William Biederman) and Nathan (Libby Kershner); and her great grandchildren, Liam Hanagan, Connor Hanagan, Natalie, Cassia, Jenna Biederman, Bryce, Ezra and Sage Kershner.
A visitation with social distancing and masks will be held at Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, MD, Monday, August 24, from 12:30 p. m. to 1 p. m.; where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p. m.
