He was predeceased by : his parents, Rodney Jarvis Ferris, Sr. and Natalie Kingsley Neville; and his son Benjamin. He is survived by : his wife Virginia "Ginny" Leister; his children, Noelle and Alex; his brothers, Dakin, Timothy and Bradley; his aunt Wendy Greeney; and his sister Susan Russell. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces.

“Although we never met Rodney, he was known to us. Especially from Wendy and also his mother and father (Tuck and Rod). They would visit us from time to time here in Florida.
