He was predeceased by: his parents, Wladyslaw Szlendak and Stanislawa Szlendak; and his brother Casimir Szlendak (Mary Szlendak). He is survived by: his siblings, Krystyna Szlendak Morgan (late Bernard Morgan) and George Szlendak; his nephew Austin; his daughter Lisa Marie Steffeck (David Steffeck); his brother Joseph Szlendak; and his nieces, Brittany and Nicole Vehawn (Jason Vehawn).
