He was predeceased by: his sister Arlene Heckler Wheeler; his siblings-in-law, Etta Dayton and Leonard Dayton; and his niece Lennette D. Satchell. He is survived by: his spouse Freida Ryan; his children, Mark Heckler (Jan) of Cambridge and Kelley Heckler Carouge (David) of Oxford; his grandchildren, Ryan Bishop Heckler (Jennifer), Emily Heckler Ruark (Aaron), Elysha Marie Carouge, David Trevor Bishop Carouge and Mason Harrison Carouge (Catherine); his great grandchildren, Keane Quimby Carouge, Clare Ryan Counts Carouge and Mazie Louise Heckler; and his sibling's children, Louis Albert Wheeler, Bonnie Wheeler Kimmett, Jeffrey Scott Dayton, Leonard W. Dayton, Jr., George Ray and Kimberly Ray Stypeck.
