He is survived by: his parent Norma McGlaughlin Simmons; his wife Bonnie Simmons of Cambridge; his sons, David Simmons and Drew Simmons; his grandchildren, Olivia Simmons (Cole) and Tucker Hickman; and his sister Shirley Adkins (Sam) of Church Creek. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
