He was predeceased by: his parents, William Leon Canida and Mabel Moyer Canida; his adoptive mother Rose Starkey Canida; his sister Joann Walters; and his grandson Jacob Flumer.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Azinger; his children, Lance Canida, Leigh Canida, Lyle Canida (Kristi), Loren Canida (Kim), Landon Canida (Laurel), Lucas Canida (Cristina) and Lori Canida Bratten (Bruce); his siblings, Greg Canida (Carolyn), Michael Canida (Wendy) and Mary Canida Clark (Tony); and his niece Heather Wylie. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
