He was predeceased by: his parent Ira Washington Short, Jr.. He is survived by: his parent Ruth Walters Short; his spouse Edna Mae Phippin; his children, David Michael Joshua Short (Becky) of Cambridge and Stephen Donald Hubbard (Renee); his siblings, Ira Short III (Linda) of Centreville, Thomas Short of Hudson, Betty Racine (Mike) of Hurlock, William Short of Toddville and Della Pritchett of Cambridge; and his grandchildren, Carleigh Fraley, Branden Short, Zach Hubbard, Owen Hubbard and Riley Hubbard.
Arrangements entrusted to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High St., Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
