It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Ruth Hooper of Cambridge, Maryland, who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jennings and Alberta Creighton Simmons; her husband Paul Alton Hooper; and her siblings, Dorothy Simmons, Freida Fannin, Jennings H. Simmons, Sr. and Edwin Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Alton Hooper, Jr. (Donna) of Cambridge, Roger David Hooper, Sr. (Barbara) of Hurlock, Dorothy A. Elzey (Bobby) of Vienna, John Henry Hooper (Kathy) of Parsonsburg and Ronnie Wayne Hooper of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Paul Alton Hooper, III, Adam Hooper, Roger David Hooper, Jr., Michael Hooper, Lisa Medford, Lori Pritchett, Craig Dennis, Kelly Dennis, Amy Rhodes and Eric Booth; her great grandchildren, Hanna Hubbard, Hunter Hubbard, Vance Hooper, Justine Hooper, Amanda Clem, Brittany Hooper, Caitlyn Hooper, Allison Hooper, Emily Hooper, Bella Hooper, Evan and Mason; her great great grandchild Halee Taylor; and her siblings, Pauline Phillips, Nancy Hayward and Jimmy Simmons. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
