He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Giles and Mintie Waters Opher Giles; his wife Pauline Maddox Giles; his siblings, Irene Opher Waters, Blanche Opher Chester and Phillip L. Opher; his daughters, Barbara Giles Perry and Joyce Vodery Holland; his grandson Barry Perry; and his great grandchild Tiera Perry.
He is survived by: his former wife Wilhelmina Reynolds; his daughter Louella M; his friends, Mildred Myster, Leon Banks and Asbury Jones; his children, Sylvia Giles Webster, Candace Giles, Cheryl Giles Burgess, Ernest N Tubman, Cassandra Vodery Holmes, Harry Vodery III and Paula Vodery Blake; and his children-in-law, Raymond Webster and JoAnn Vodery. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins and friends.
