It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Martin Jewell of Centreville, Maryland, who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife June; his parents, Walter Franklin and Hilda Mae Jewell (Parks); and his brothers, Roy and Donny Jewell.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Hoxter (Keith) and Jeffrey Jewell (Natalie); his grandsons, Nathan Hoxter (Erin) and Nicholas Hoxter (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Finn, Shane and Reid Hoxter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home (408 S Liberty St, Centreville, MD 21617). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (11365 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD 21601).
