James Eugene Myers Obituary

Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Eugene Myers in Queenstown, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away at the age of 90, on August 5, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hite Myers and Margaret Antoinette Holland; his former wife Marjorie Blankenship; his sons, James and Patrick Myers; and his siblings, Ronald Myers and Cindy Peters.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Myers; his children, Richard Myers, Susan Pendleton and Elizabeth Brinster; his siblings, Judy Daniell and Larry Myers; and his grandchildren, Keefer Schoon, Madeline Myers, Isabelle Brinster and James Brinster. He is also survived by Parents Without Partners.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newnam Funeral Home (106 Shamrock Rd, Chester, MD 21619). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Kent Island Methodist Church (2739 Cox Neck Rd, Chester, MD 21619). A reception will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grasonville VFW (203 Vfw Ave, Grasonville, MD 21638).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of James Myers to the Parkinson's Foundation.
