With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Richard Abend (Chestertown, Maryland), born in Annapolis, Maryland, who passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Katherine V. Stevens and Conrad Henry Abend Jr.; his wife Margaret (Meg); his stepchildren, Seth Founds and Molly Jane Oehrlein; and his half-siblings, William Thomas, Katherine Bouchard of North Carolina and Christine Hand of North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Food Pantry c/o Christ Methodist Church, 346 High St., Chestertown, MD 21620.
