He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Oskar Gulbrandsen and Elizabeth Fontaine Gulbrandsen. He is survived by : his wife Marguerite; his sister Susan G. Baldwin; his children, Quinten (Tracy), Erik Gulbrandsen and Kirsten Chandler (Chris); his grandchildren, Brittany Norden (Colby), Alex, Kaiya and Eli Chandler; and his nephew Charles Athey (Monica).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leif's memory may be made to the Kent and Queen Anne's Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 126, Chestertown, MD 21620.

“I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I have known Leif and Meg since 7th grade. I can say in all honesty Leif was one of the good people. He was a very good friend. I know you are grieving the loss of your husband and father. There is nothing anyone can say to make that go away. I hope with time and good memories you will begin to heal. You are in my prayers.
