The passing of Charlie Edward Gardenhour Sr. of Cheverly, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 12, 2024 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph O. Gardenhour and LaFerne M. Otto Gardenhour. He is survived by : his wife Ann Crisp Gardenhour; his sons, Charles Gardenhour Jr. (Sandy) and Christopher Gardenhour (Kathy); his siblings, Richard Gardenhour and Jeanette McCullough; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan (Nina), Benjamin, Hannah, John (Meagan), Robert and James.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Smithsburg (16 N Main St, Smithsburg, MD 21783).

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, any charitable donations be made to Capital Region Honor Flight in memory of Charles "Bud" Edward Gardenhour Sr. Capital Region Honor Flight recognizes the bravery, determination, and patriotism of senior Veterans in the DC, MD, and DE area.
