He was predeceased by: his sister Celene Manning. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Simpson; his grandchildren, Carol Simpson, Mash Rahman, Robert Simpson, Allona, Blake, Mia, Edward Simpson (Ted), Tara, Lillian and Nathaniel; and his brother John A. Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Ambrose Church, 3107 63rd Avenue, Cheverly, MD 20785.
