He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary O'Briant Clampitt. He is survived by: his children, Russell, Henry, Amy and Jim; and his siblings, John and Richard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hills Baptist Church.
