He was predeceased by: his parent Guyther Griffin; his son Francis Harold Griffin Jr.; and his brother Charles F. Griffin. He is survived by: his parent Alice Everett Griffin; his wife Gladys Griffin; his children, Carol Ann Griffin (Jim) of Church Hill, John "Jack" Griffin Sr. of Centreville and David R. Griffin (Cindy) of Centreville; his brothers, John P. Griffin Sr. of Church Hill and William M. "Mernie" Griffin of Dundalk; his grandchildren, Candi Saulsbury, Chrystal Walsh, Leamon Griffin, John Griffin Jr., Travis Griffin, Kaelynne Griffin, Andrea Folker, Jessica Folker and Abigail Folker; his great grandchildren, Chris, Caleb, Chloe Saulsbury, Piper Schrader, Scooter and Chesapeake Bay; Trudy Griffin and Green Griffin.
