He is survived by: his wife Tina Watts; his daughter Laura; his son-in-law William Watt of Frederick; his granddaughters, Emily and Audrey Watt of Alexandria, Virginia.; his brother Alan; his siblings-in-law, Mary J. Watts, Paul and Sandra; his siblings' children, Kent Watts (DeeDee), Bryan Watts (Tracie), Danny Watts, Deborah Neal (Tom), Helen Watts, Mechelle Gunther (Wayne) and Christin Blunk (Rod); his brother Sonny Watts; his son Walter Gordon Watts Jr. (Butchie); his grandson Clint Edwards; and his sister-in-law Suzanne Pennoyer.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Frederick Health Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
