Sherralyn A. Bassey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherralyn A. Bassey (Damascus, Maryland), born in Clay, West Virginia, who passed away on March 7, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Colonel Archibald Quentin Samples and Eva Dale Samples. She is survived by : her grandchildren, Ryan Holt and Christabella Hood; her husband Charles O. Bassey Sr.; her children, Eva Bassey, Ekanem Bassey (Kani), Charles Bassey Jr. and Quentin Bassey; her grandchildren, Seth Holt, Tabitha Holt, Quentin Bassey Jr. and Bella Hood; and her sisters, Phyllis Samples and Katie Kahn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Together, they started their small family then moved to Ibadan, Nigeria where she would work for the Rockefeller Foundation, and he would practice medicine.
