He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Acosta and Jennie "Musto" Acosta; and his sister Carol Lesniewski. He is survived by : his wife Cyndi Acosta; his children, Samantha Diffendall (Josh), Brittany Acosta and David Acosta Jr.; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Mitchell and Adam Diffendall; and his siblings, Sonny Acosta (Charles), Wayne Acosta, Rose Hoffa, Gerry Green, Virginia Burton, Helen Acosta and Donna Acosta.
