She was predeceased by : her parents, John W. Matthews, Jr. and Jennie Mae Stewart Matthews; her spouse Arrel E. Godfrey; and her sister-in-law Diane Matthews. She is survived by : her brother John W. Matthews III of Cambridge; and her nieces, Beth Matthews of Salisbury, Amy Matthews of Cambridge and Julie Harp (Chris). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
