He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter McKinley Brittingham Sr. and Lillie "Mae" Frazier Brittingham of Golden Hill; his wife Sandy Brittingham; and his son Michael Matson Brittingham. He is survived by : his former life partner Sandra Hazel Matson; his children, Jesse L. "Jay" Brittingham Jr. (Penny), Amanda K. Purnell (Shannon), Dawn Shorter (Ricky) of Cambridge and Lisa D'Onofrio of Rhodesdale; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Jessica, Andrew, Brandon, Ashley, Emily Brittingham, Nashonn Purnell, Jennifer Keyser, Lucas, Adam Patrick, Daniel and Eric Shorter; his stepgrandchildren, Amanda Keyser and Nick D'Onofrio; and his sister Lillie Harman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
