I just don't have the... " - Kevin Carew View Sign MARILYN BOOTE COLBORN On Monday, July 23, 2018, Marilyn Boote Colborn passed away at her home following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Marilyn was born on October 19, 1937 in Washington, DC to the late Ward Etheridge Boote, Sr. and Ella Marie Carter Boote. Marilyn was a long-time resident of Edgewater, MD though her love of travel and culture carried her across the country and world. She was a fierce advocate for the rights of special-needs children, a supervisor with the Department of Special Education in the Prince George's County School system, and went on to found the Lotus Institute for Education where she taught yoga and meditation. Marilyn had a passion for travel and friends, as well as an innate kindness that lent itself to any and all. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Survived by her are sister and brother, Marguerite Boote Farnan and Ward E. Boote, Jr. (Louann), her son and daughter, Geoffrey W. Schoming (Katherine) and Amanda G. Colborn, two grandchildren, Molly E. McLaughlin (Gary) and Julian C. Schoming, one great-grandson, Atticus W. McLaughlin, and extended family members Stephen Rosen and Stacy Rosen. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Harris W. Rosen in 2010, her former husbands David P. Schoming and Robert J.
