He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father John; his uncle Leo; his siblings, Jack, David and Rowena; his nephews, Stephen and James; his sister Helen; his wife Barbara Griffin of Grand Falls; his sons, Stephen Gonsalves and James Gonsalves; his daughter-in-law Judith Gonsalves; his grandchildren, Kate Marie Gonsalves and John Paul Gonsalves; and his siblings, Robert Gonsalves and Margaret Hayes. He was also cherished by children.
