He is survived by: his pet Bailey; his wife Marlene Long; his daughters, Sharon Long of Fairfield, IA, Bobbie Lee Ritter (Mike) of Mitchellville, MD and Jill DePaola (John) of Davidsonville, MD; and his grandchildren, Bill Cronin (Lesley), Michael Ritter, Jr. (Tara), Bridget Burns (Darren), Robert Ritter (Michelle), Matthew Ritter Sr. (Sharon), Katie DePaola and John DePaola, Jr..
