With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rose F. Rubino of Springfield, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Rose find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Nunziato Fama and Vincenza Fama; and her husband Dominick N. Rubino. She is survived by : her children, Michael J. (Mary Jean), Patricia A. Rubino and Nancy R. Casey (Mike); and her sisters, Grace Rinick and Nancy Garito (Nick). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (109 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD 21401).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
