He was predeceased by: his parent James Wayts Sr.. He is survived by: his parent Catherine Hart-Redman; his wife Cynthia Carter Wayts; his children, John "Steve" Moats (Donna), Tina Moats-Lindsey (Mark), Danny Moats (Kimberly), Anthony "Tony" Moats (Debra) and Timothy "Timmy" Moats (Diana); his siblings, Hardy, Donald Hart, Charles "Jay" Wayts (Cynthia) and James Wayts Jr.; and his mother-in-law Virginia Winston. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
