With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Hendershott Martin (Ellicott City, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 5, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Martin. She is survived by: her children, Donald Martin Jr. (Elisabet) of Ellicott City, Maryland, Richard Martin of Orange Park, Florida, Carole DeSimone (Angelo) of Wayne, Mary Vaccarino (John) of Sykesville, Maryland and Ellen Martin of Frederick, Maryland.; and her grandchildren, Adam Martin, David Martin (Monica), Anna Azarian (Alexa), Caroline Martin, Allie DeSimone, Jack Vaccarino and Tess Vaccarino.
Viewing was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home (4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection Chapel (3175 Paulskirk Dr, Ellicott City, MD 21042). A burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
