He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Valfrids Elksnis and Emilija Elksnis; his wife Shelby J. Elksnis; his son Stephen M. Elksnis MD; his daughter-in-law Kimberly K. Elksnis; his daughter Susan Elksnis Cope; his granddaughters, Jenifer Cope, Mckensie Cope, Emilee Cope and Alexis Elksnis; and his stepgrandchildren, Lee Williams and Morgan Seay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gus's memory to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
