She was predeceased by: her parents, Solomon Thompson (Frances) and Verna Mae Stokes; her brothers, James Stokes Jr. and George Stokes; her aunts, Clarice Richardson, Virginia Schwartz and Rosemary Thompson; her grandparents, Mayme Williams and Clarence Williams; and her cousin Marty Richardson.
She is survived by: her husband Dwight Harold Jarrett Sr.; her children, Delain, Kawan Best, Lakiesha, Lavinia, Dawuan and Dwight Jr. (Gessica); her grandchildren, Dhaleem, Reid and Isaiah; her close friend Sharon (Vaughn); her friend Glenda Collier of Long Beach, CA.; her siblings, Vivian J. Stokes-Smallwood, Edith Thompson, Kevin Thompson (Maria), Mark Thompson (Ericka), Anthony Stokes Sr. (Kim), Carlthan Stokes (Michelle), Kevin Stokes and Sheila Stokes; her nieces and nephews, Qawana Butler (Tonia), Reseda Butler, Hubert and Wesley Stokes; and her cousins, Michael, Debbie, Denise Thompson, Jeffrey and Jay (Jackie).
