She was predeceased by : her parents, William Wesley and Eva Johnson (Cross) of Virginia; and her siblings, Charlotte "Judy", Raymond, Bernard and Gerald Johnson.

She is survived by : her children, Russell R. Rogers, Jr. and Danna A. Thomas; and her siblings, Roxanne Gray and William Johnson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
