He was predeceased by: his parents, K. G. Varghese and Thankamma Gevarghese; and his brothers, Jacob "Baboy" and Aniankunju. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Sarah "Molly" Varghese; his children, Suja Varghese (Dana Kaczynski), Dr. Saji Slavin (Michael Slavin) and Dr. Sanjeev Varghese (Alicia Marhefka); his brother Dr. K. G. Thomaskutty (Mercy Thomaskutty); his siblings-in-law, Valsamma Jacob, Korah Mani (Shobha Mani) and Annie Mani; his close friend Mani Pulimood (Mary Pulimood); his sibling's children, Steven Pulimood, Matthew Mani, Achamma Luke, Dr. Shari Thomas, Ashley Thomas, Namita Mani, Georgie Thomas and Michael Mani; and his pet Zeeba. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, close friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church (7321 Windsor Mill Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 21244). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church of Baltimore (7321 Windsor Mill Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 21244). A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the St. John's Cemetery (3480 St Johns Ln, Ellicott City, MD 21042).
