He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jo Maerz; and his sons, John J. Maerz, Jr. (Wendy) and Michael G. Maerz (Cheryl). He is survived by: his children, Barbara Anne Maerz and Robert F. Maerz (Jeanne); his grandchildren, Kelly A Pattison (Chris), John J. Maerz, III (Mandy), Michael J. Maerz and Matthew J. Maerz; and his great grandchildren, Brady and Brycen Maerz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
