He was predeceased by: his parent Clarence Shurer. He is survived by: his parent Barbara Shurer; his spouse Cynthia Shurer; his children, Brian Shurer (Stefanie) and Bethany Svec (Eddie); his grandchildren, Caleb, Zachary, Annabelle and Eleanor; and his siblings, Verna Pittenger, Carl Shurer, Ken Shurer, Tom Shurer and Elaine Shurer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Daniel's name may be made to the DJD Fight On Foundation-200 Maple Street, Ephrata, PA 17522 C/O Donna Dull.
