With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanette Young (Bowie, Maryland), who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Waters and Irene Waters; her husband William Young; and her brother James Waters. She is survived by: her daughter Nicole; her son-in-law Tony; and her siblings, Virginia Greene (late Oliver Greene Sr), Shirley Chisley (late Joseph Chisley), Frank Waters Jr. (Alice Waters), Robert Waters (Cheryl Waters) and David Waters (Doris Waters).

In 1974, she was selected as an "Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America" in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of elementary education and service to the community.
