With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mae Elizabeth Shafer (Frederick, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Mae is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mae's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Homes (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (515 S Market St, Frederick, MD 21701).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
