He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walter and Odie Brantley Hopkins; and his siblings, Lottie Brantley, Dorothy Sanders, Mavis Hopkins, Oliver, Doliver, Flavius, Tommy, Homer and Revel Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Edwards Hopkins; his children, John Michael Hopkins of Baltimore, MD, Daryl Hopkins (Tammy) of Middlesex, NC and Deborah Miller (Ray) of Crownsville, MD; his grandchildren, Kimberly Wilkins (Trey), Olivia Craft (Logan), Victoria Miller, Valerie Murray (Trent) and Charles Hopkins (Victoria); his stepgrandchildren, Mary Lyon (Phillip), Ginger Mull (Sterling) and Jamie Langley (Tim); and his great grandchild Ella Rose Wilkins. He is also survived by ten step great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, friends.
