With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Atwood Smith (Glyndon, Maryland), born in Kinston, North Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Smith and Iley Smith; and his grandson Luke Atwood Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Smith; his children, Amy Shelley (Terry) and Russell Smith, Jr. (Beth); his grandchildren, Jacob, Zach, Nathan Shelley, Josh Smith (Jenn) and Jessi Pearson (Tony); and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Rowan Smith, Ellie and Luke Pearson.
