He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Fenton H. and Mable Orendorf Platter; his former wife Bonnie Lovern Platter; and his brothers, Lowell and David.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Reed Platter; his daughter Michelle Platter; and his sister Ruth Platter of Florida. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
