She was predeceased by : her parents, Francis Cardwell and Dorothy Mitchell-Cardwell; her son Thomas Jason Battle; and her siblings, Ronald Cardwell, Francis Cardwell, Ann Delozier, Virginia Battle, Marion Keeney and Mary Jane Leisenring.
She is survived by : her husband Thomas M. Battle; her children, Rachel E. Turner (Wilson Turner, Jr.) and Aaron M. Battle (Amber); her grandchildren, Shalai and Aaron, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Aubrey and Alexander; her sibling Nancy Allen; and her pet Ruffin.
