He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard L. Beard and Floris R. Beard (Hebb); and his sisters, Judith A. McBrien and Karen S. Kolb. He is survived by: his husband Jon J. Hulka; and his brother-in-law Gary B. McBrien. He is also survived by four nieces and one nephew.
