He was predeceased by: his parent Isaac Newton; his wife Lola Marlene Purdham; his granddaughter Kayla M. Neff; his great grandchild Joseph D. Hamilton; and his brothers, Mert Purdham and Arch Purdham.
He is survived by: his parent Elsie Louise Shindle Purdham; his children, Lola D. Cline of Williamsport, MD, Robert A. Pennington of Hagerstown, MD, Claudia F. Webster (Wayne) of Hagerstown, MD and Judie V. Needy (Wade) of Hagerstown, MD; his siblings, Elmer Purdham, Ken Purdham, Ralph Purdham, Shirley Smith and Dorothy Hyle; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Purdham, Loretta Purdham and Gail Kirby (Ronnie). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
