He is survived by: his parent Edna Anna Butts (Frye); his wife Rebecca Jean Butts; his children, Tina Hamrick, Tammy Murphy, Telisa Butts, Shannon Butts and Gary Butts, Jr.; and his siblings, Barbara Martz and Danny Butts. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
