He was predeceased by: his parents, George Coon Newman Sr. and Aileen Newman (Moore); and his sister Aileen Ellison. He is survived by: his wife Judith Schmidt Newman; his children, Dr. Megan J. Troischt (Taylor Troischt) of Morgantown, WV and Geordie C. Newman III (Miranda) of Hagerstown, MD; his grandchildren, Emma S. Troischt, William H. Troischt, Tucker Newman and Charlotte E. Newman; and his sister Clara Buck. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
