He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Reichard and Margaret Irene Taylor (Houser); and his siblings, Dana Whittington, Linda Hart, Ted, Ned, Gerald, Raymond, Charles, David, Richard and Robert Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Katie Taylor (Gardner); his children, Karen Lynn Reese (Randy) and Mark Edward Taylor (Connie Hart); his grandchildren, Zachary Taylor Reese (Kayla) and Amanda Lynn Reese; his great grandchild Virgil Smith, Jr.; his stepdaughter Erin Malloy (Jim); his children, Wyatt and Kaya; his siblings, Phyllis Zittle, Gloria Rudisill, Shirley Lowe, Peggy Heliene and Gary Taylor; and his mother-in-law Winifred E. Ford.
