She was predeceased by: her parents, Issaac Newton Bartles and Nora Bartles (Sowers); her husband Fay Wilson Gum; her daughter Angela Carol Gum; and her sisters, Mildred Shives, Crystal Mellott and Violet Mills.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Judy Smith (Sherman Lynn), Jeannine Deneen (Richard), Jack Mills, Jr. (Trish), Donald Mellott (Betsy), Ernest Mellott and Wayne Mellott (Ellen).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park (17636 W Washington St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
