He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice T. Ireland Sr. and Elizabeth Ireland (Beasley). He is survived by: his wife Anna Lee Ireland; his children, Maureen T. Lopez (Jeff Lopez) of Dahlonega, GA, Kelly I. Batey (Jeff Batey) of Hagerstown, MD and Michael Hurley of Smithsburg, MD.; his grandchildren, Riley Lopez, Ian Lopez, Maura Lopez Clark, Kelia Lopez Ferreira, Kate Lopez, Kyle Batey and Adam Batey; and his brother Robert Ireland of Washington. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
