He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Howard and Nora Ellen Johnson (Bradecamp). He is survived by: his husband Donald Lawrence Nelson; his grandchildren, Christina A. Davis (Edward Joynes) of Hagerstown, Deborah L. Murphy (Jim) of Highland, MD, James C. Davis, Jr. (Lori) of Germantown, MD and John E. Davis (Tina) of Riverdale Park, MD; his nephew John R. Waddle, Jr. of Hyattsville; his niece Linda J. Johnson of Brentwood, MD; and his pet Lando. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
