He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Edward and Elsie Mae Fitz (Fissel). He is survived by: his wife Constance V. Fitz; and his children, Debra K. Crowl, Donovan R. Fitz and David A. Fitz. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
