He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Leonard Eaton Sr. and Martha McCoy Eaton; his siblings, Thelma Cash, Charles Leonard Eaton Jr., Robert E. Eaton and Dale W. Eaton; and his foster parents, Kenneth Herbst and Kathaleene Summers Herbst.

He is survived by : his children, Stanley L. Eaton II (Rosie), Richard Eaton (Norma), Kevin Eaton and Sherrie Eaton; his grandchildren, Amber, Justin, Mason and Tyler; his former life partner Gertie Eaton; and his pets, Noah, Sammy, Tommy, Patches and Baby. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
